Het Innovation:Lab van Theater Utrecht is op zoek naar makers, experts en creatieven die willen werken aan een integrale vraag over de toekomst. Hoe kunnen we AI humaniseren via KUNST? Heb jij een idee, expertise of kennis die ons kan helpen bij het beantwoorden van deze vraag tijdens onze hackathon? Dan ben je op de juiste plek! Meld je aan vóór 17 november 2023 en wie weet zien we jou op de tweedaagse Hackathon in De Paardenkathedraal in Utrecht op 25 en 26 november!

De Hackathon vindt plaats op 25 en 26 november 2023 van 10.00 – 22.00 uur in De Paardendenkathedraal, Veeartenijstraat 155 in Utrecht. Tijdens deze twee dagen bieden wij je de kans, de technologie en de ruimte om onderzoek te doen naar de humanisering van AI door middel van KUNST.

Tijdens de Hackathon stellen wij diverse coaches ter beschikking om je ideevormingsproces tot een concept te begeleiden. Tijdens je coachingsuren bedenk je concepten die je tijdens de Hackathon kunt onderzoeken en aanpakken. Daarnaast kunnen deze concepten gevalideerd en geverifieerd worden met behulp van de technologie die wij in huis hebben.

Op deze manier kun je de conceptuele én technologische aspecten gebruiken in je presentatie. Het presentatieproces wordt vóór de Hackathon aangekondigd met aanvullende details, zoals voorbereiding van achtergrondmateriaal waarmee je coach je idee sneller kan begrijpen. Weet dat we niet binnen twee dagen op zoek zijn naar een definitief werkend prototype. We zijn op zoek naar een artistieke concept, kritische onderzoeksvragen en technologische aspecten die jouw vragen kunnen valideren.

Krijg financiering voor je concept:
Aan het einde van deze twee dagen presenteer je jouw uitgewerkte idee aan een jury. Wordt jouw idee geselecteerd? Dan krijg je de kans om het verder uit te werken in ons Innovation:Lab in januari/februari 2024 én krijg je de kans om jouw prototype te presenteren tijdens het Innovation:Lab prototype event CTRL+ALT+PLAY 2024

Om geselecteerd te worden als deelnemer aan de Hackathon, vul je dit AANMELDFORMULIER in. Alles wat we nodig hebben is een korte uitleg van je idee of concept, en eventuele beschikbare achtergrondinformatie.

Theater Utrecht’s Innovation:Lab is on the look out for makers, experts and creatives who would like to work on an integral question regarding the future. How to humanize AI through ART? Do you have an idea, expertise or knowledge that can aid us in answering this question during the hackathon? Then you are in the right spot! Register before November 17, 2023 and we might see you at the two day Hackathon at De Paardenkathedraal in Utrecht the 25th and 26th of November!

The Hackathon will take place on 25 and 26 November, 2023 from 10:00 – 22:00 in De Paardendenkathedraal, Veeartenijstraat 155 in Utrecht. During these two days, we offer you the opportunity, the technology and the space to start researching the humanization of AI through ART.

During the Hackathon we will provide a variety of coaches to guide your ideation process into a concept. During your coaching hours, you will come up with key concepts to research and tackle throughout the Hackathon. In addition to that, those key concepts can be validated and verified with the use of technology that we have in house during the Hackathon.

This way you are able to use the concepting and technological experience in your presentation. The presentation process will be announced before the Hackathon with additional details such as background material preparations that can help your coach understand your idea faster. However, note that we are not looking for a final working prototype within two days. We are looking for artistic concepting, critical research question(s) and technological aspects that can validate your questions.

Get your idea funded:
At the end of these two days, you will present your detailed idea to a jury. Will your idea be selected? Then you will have the opportunity to further develop your idea in our Innovation:Lab in january/february 2024 and you will get the opportunity to present your prototype during the Innovation:Lab prototype event CTRL+ALT+PLAY 2024

About the selection:
To be selected as a participant in the Hackathon, please fill out this APPLICATION FORM. Provide a motivation that explains your idea or concept in order to dive deeper into your interest in the Hackathon.

Timeline:
-Send in your motivation and form before November 20th 2023.
-In the week of November 20th you will receive the invitation and the program.
-We start on November 25th at 10:00.
